Taste Just Like KFC Original Chicken

I am always trying new copy cat recipes and coming up with a new version of how to make something that we really like when we go out to eat, and here's another one I've mastered. This recipe has it all 12 Herbs and spices...... Enjoy. The good part about this is you can fix what parts of the chicken you like best. You know it's all good chicken. The added plus to this recipe is that I now add turmeric to this blend to aid in health benefits listed below, now you can eat this and feel good about it. ;)

1 whole chicken, cut up or you can do just thighs, wings or breasts if you prefer
3 beaten eggs
4 tablespoons oil(I like Canola or Coconut oil)

For the coating

2 cups flour
4 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon tarragon
1 teaspoon parsley
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon chives
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon turmeric(health benefits listed below)


Sift flour and add together all the coating ingredients and grind finely with a grinder(I use a mini Coffee Grinder) and place in a clean plastic bag. Coat each chicken piece first with the beaten egg, then with the flour mixture in the bag. Make sure you coat each piece completely with the flour.

Heat the oil in a skillet. Brown the chicken in oil slowly, uncovered. Once browned, cover the skillet and keeping frying on a very gentle heat until the chicken is fully cooked. Place on paper towels to drain out the excess oil.

**HEALTHY BENEFITS:Turmeric has been proven to aid in anti inflammatory and aides in digestion benefits. You should incorporate this herb into your diet several times a week.
